OUR STORY
Terra Amata began with a simple question: what does it mean to dress a child with care?
During my first pregnancy, I found myself searching for clothing that felt both considered and trustworthy- natural fabrics, gentle construction, and a sense of quality and integrity. What I discovered instead was a landscape that often prioritised convenience over quality, where true transparency was difficult to find.
As I began to make more conscious choices in my own life, that awareness deepened. I wanted my children’s clothing to feel soft against the skin, to allow for movement, and to be made with a thoughtful approach to both material and process.
Terra Amata was created from this perspective- a collection of elevated essentials designed for the everyday. Pieces that move gently through the rhythms of childhood, balancing comfort, simplicity, and longevity.
Each garment is made with careful consideration, from the fibres we select to the way each piece is constructed. The intention is not only to create something beautiful, but to offer a sense of ease- so that parents can dress their children with confidence, without having to question what sits beneath the surface.
Because at its core, Terra Amata is built on the belief that the earliest years deserve to be held with care, in what we choose, and in what we create.
OUR WHY
FOR PARENTS, FOR CHILDREN
After a decade in the structured world of finance and sales, our founder, Nekia Bagration, felt drawn to create something softer, slower, and more considered. Terra Amata emerged from that shift- a modern children’s brand rooted in quality, simplicity, and thoughtful design.
Designed in Spain and developed in close partnership with carefully selected manufacturers, each collection reflects a commitment to comfort, longevity, and quiet refinement. We work with organic and natural materials, creating pieces intended to be worn, kept, and passed on- garments that carry a sense of continuity through the early years.
At its core, Terra Amata exists to honour childhood, while remaining mindful of the world children are growing into.
Our name, meaning “beloved earth” in Latin, speaks to this philosophy- a respect for natural materials, considered processes, and a more conscious approach to making. Each decision is guided by a desire to create with care, and to contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to a slower and more thoughtful future.
